On Wednesday, we left Warrenton heading down 101 to Coos Bay, OR. 248 miles. Weather was windy and rainy. We stopped in Tillamook for coffee. The fields around town were very green and smelled quite ripe from recent manure spreading. We read that Lincoln City, which seems to stretch for miles, is really the consolidation of 5 towns, one of which, was Delake. The name came from local Finnish folks who pronounced Devils Lake as "Delake". We've begun to see daffodils and flowering cherry in bloom. There were several stops for construction. We found a KOA in North Bend, OR to camp for the night. If the weather had improved, we would have stayed another day to try riding quads in the dunes. We'll have to save that for another trip.

The Air Museum in Tillamook is one of Sonny's favorites though we didn't
have time to stop today. |

One of the many stops for road work. |

At one of the construction stops, I looked back at the coast line to see this
lighthouse. |

At that same stop, this hillside was next to us. It was evident that it slid
down at one time. I was sure hoping the steel netting would hold strong. |

More big equipment. |

Gas prices are great! |
