Route 101 along the Oregon Coastline

About 230 miles today. Rainy weather to start the day but the sun burned off the clouds in a few hours. We passed cranberry bogs near Bandon and stopped in Brookings for coffee break and crossword puzzles.  Temperature got into the 60s.

We wanted to rent one of these but the weather was wet.

One way to direct traffic.

Pretty surf along the coast.

Famous Oregon coastline beauty.

The erosion is continuous.

Our home for 2 months.

Waiting on a hill for northbound vehicles to pass us in the southbound lanes.

The old boat gift shop near the OR CA border.

The trees are tall and had huge girths.

So tall it doesn't fill in the lens.

Practicing putting at the Arcata KOA

Tulip trees are in bloom here.

It was a beautiful sunset with promises of sunshine for the next few days.

Oregon Coast line views were wonderful.  The road was scary at times,
with sunken grades, sketchy paving jobs, lack of guard rails., landslides.

Dunes in the distance.
