After line dancing class on Friday at Catalina Spa, we packed up and headed for Yuma. Temps in the 80s. The road was ribboned with "kiss me quicks" for 25 miles. Passed stucco and manufactured homes, vineyards and more agricultural greenery around the Salton Sea. We drove over ditches and washes. It seemed that ditches were small and that you could drive your ATV in a wash. It impressed me that every single one was named and there were hundreds. Elevation was 190' below sea level at one point. I was surprised at the amount of greenery, hay fields and veggies. Not really very desert looking. We stopped for a break in the dunes near Gordon Wells. Our friends from Plain, WA, who are wintering here, had found us an RV resort near their house so we checked in to Fortuna de Oro in Foothills for 12 nights. 1300 lots, level roads for bike riding, 2 pools, a giant laundry room, daily happy hour with live bands (though we have been out and about and have yet to go to it), and reasonably priced. Our friends make sure there's no lack of things to do and explore! We started off with a campfire in their back yard in the evening.

be walking behind the equipment Weeding or harvesting?
