Travel Day to Bullhead City, AZ

The weather cleared and we were on our way by 10 AM.  We traveled North on US 95 along the Colorado River through Lake Havasu to Silver View Resort in Bullhead City, AZ.

Another view of harvest with bus pulling porta potty.

We had seen other flat topped orchards and wondered
how that exact pruning was done. Sonny saw a tractor attachment with a piece of equipment with blades
that could swivel to cut the tops and sides.

We crossed Route 66 in Needles.

We began to see gas stations call "Terribles".

Gas prices we haven't seen in years.

The rock formations are interesting.  This
one could have been a mitten or a

whale breaching?

We had our lunch in the Lowe's parking lot in Lake Havasu.

Lake Havasu in the distance.

Wind and erosion landscape.

We encountered road construction which gave a chance to study the hills around us.  Reds, browns, tans with spring green edges.

Boon dockers in the desert. I'd like to do it for a night
or two to see the night sky, however, there are snakes to consider.

We weren't on the border but passed through a
canine check point.

We checked out the little gym at the
Silver View Resort.  Apparently, these
machines were used in space so that
the astronauts could exercise by
vibrations.
Sonny checking the temp in the spa.  I like this little
oasis pool area with lots of greenery.

The view of Laughlin, NV casinos along the river
from the bluff at Silver View Resort.  We were assigned a site
with this view but when  we got here, someone had made a mistake. The wind was blowing and other residents said we would be happier with a different site when the winds got stronger.  Not only would we have had wind but also road noise from below.  We have a wide pull through which is great.
There is a path along the ridge so we can look at the view on our walk.
